Abstract: Inventory Management is considered to be very important in driving business organizations because efficient inventory management can help control raw materials, which are part of the organization's costs. Nowadays, technology is widely used as a tool for inventory management systems. This study focuses on managing the total cost of raw materials inventory by analyzing and determining the ordering method. By grouping the raw materials using the ABC Analysis technique and analyzing the demand characteristics of raw material with the variation coefficient (VC), it was found that raw materials in Group A and Group B with constant demand characteristics, would have the ordering pattern determined by the Economic Order Quantity method. On the other hand, the raw materials with non-constant demand characteristics, would be analyzed using the Heuristic method to determine the appropriate ordering pattern. Group A and Group B would be analyzed using the Silver-Meal, Least Unit Cost, and Part-Period Balancing. Group C would be analyzed using Two-bin and Lot for Lot. Subsequently, the analysis would determine the safety stock level and reorder points to prevent raw material shortage. Then, the total cost of inventory management would be analyzed and compared with the actual total cost incurred from October 2020 to September 2022. The results show that after improving efficiency, the total cost of raw materials inventory management decreased from 3,474,463.84 Baht to 3,060,773.57 Baht, a reduction of 413,690.27 Baht or 11.91%. Additionally, this research developed an inventory management system via the Google AppSheet platform to serve as an automated tool, replacing the traditional operation system for the case study company. The application increased convenience and speed by reducing operational steps and can be used by general employees without requiring specialized expertise.
