Abstract: The research has been conducted with a case study company in the northern industrial which operates as a business that produces electronic components for camera lens. Currently, production has many defects in the lens forming process. Therefore, the researcher has applied the one method of Six sigma, the DMAIC process was applied to improve the process. First, the researcher defined the scratch defect problem by applied the Pareto chart. Then, the researcher measured the process (measure phase) and analyzed the problem by applied the cause and effect diagram and FMEA analysis to identify the root causes of the problem. Furthermore, the researcher has applied the hypothesis testing to analyze the problem also. After that, the researcher has proposed the solutions were 1) changing and defining the diameter of the glass tray’s hole 2) changing the method for mold inspection 3) defining the time of acid soaking 4) defining the method and lifetime for cleaning the robot and changing the diameter of the robot. After the researcher applied the improvement method and controlled the process by used the control chart and create the new work instruction found that the defects result can be reduced as 52,297 parts per million or it can be reduced average 2,031 pieces per month. This reduction was estimated as the saving cost as 68,038.50 baht per month.
