Abstract: Since information regarding physical therapy for pregnant women is highly complicated and delicate, users are unable to access physical therapy information as they should, resulting in a gap for access to reliable information. Applications on smartphones are considered the best method for providing easy-to-access health information and advice, given that almost everyone has a smartphone. However, while many applications have been developed for pregnant women, not all are appropriate for providing easily accessible information for this group. This research study focused on designing and developing applications related to pregnant women that include information on physical therapy, physical therapy follow-up, and calculation of the length of pregnancy. Design thinking was used as a guideline for developing a model, and data were collected through interviews with experts in physical therapy for pregnant women and persons with experience in designing and developing applications. Experts in physical therapy for pregnant women provided information on how to perform physical therapy, safety protocols for performing physical therapy, and correct information, while persons with experience in application design and development provided information on user interface design and application functions. Suitable functions for the pregnancy physical therapy application include media content for acknowledgment, information on physical therapy, user records, data tracing, and data calculation. Application testing was performed by generating a questionnaire using the Delphi technique to evaluate user satisfaction with three aspects: user interface, system usage, and confidence in usage. According to the testing results, participants in the test accepted the development, with mean evaluation results of 4.558 for user interface, 4.764 for system usage, and 4.585 for confidence in usage. In conclusion, the pregnancy physical therapy application developed from this research aimed to provide pregnant women with easy access to reliable information for achieving safe and correct physical therapy practices. The study results can be used to develop other relevant applications.
