Abstract: The purposes of Analysis and Classification of Knowledge in Lanna Khaw (Khaw means Lanna Thai rhymed verses) are to 1) Analyze the context 2) Categorize the knowledge gained from Lanna Khaw via qualitative research discipline through context analyzing model as a tool for gathering information about Lanna Khaw from 266 topics of both publishes and digital medias altogether, and 10 topics from Information Source. The result of the research reveals as follows: Lanna Khaw is categorized into 6 types: Khaw Saw (poems), Khaw Hum (used for description in archives), Khaw Chai (love letters between a man and a woman), Khaw Tham (the poem used for writing stories about royal families), Kham Oo Bao Oo Sao (Lanna serenades), and Khaw Gom (brief poems), with 14 presentation forms: fables, legends, prayers, lyrics, proverbs,riddles, textbooks, departing poems, teachings, laments, serenades, letters, words of mouth, and miscellaneous forms. The study result reflects that the most frequent form of Lanna Khaw is words of (46.62%); which consists of Khaw Hum, (30.69%) and Khaw Saw (10.53%), fables (19.55%),which consists of Khaw Saw (12.03%), Khaw Hum (2.63%), and Khaw Tham (4.89%), and legends (15.41%); which consists of Khaw Hum (13.16%) and Khaw Saw (2.26%). Lanna Khaw; considering from international frameworks; such as Dewey Decimal Classification (D.C.) and Library of Congress Classification (L.C.), which are for categorizing traditional literatures, and comparison of Thai language phrases of IT resource analysis team in university libraries, can be basically categorized into 15 main classes. Next, having considered the redundancy, the categories remain 13. To make the categorization of Lanna Khaw become even more accurate, comprehensive, and complete, the work was sent to 3 experts to re-examine again. As a result, the aforementioned categorization can be re-categorized into 10 main classes of knowledge from Lanna Khaw: agriculture, belief, lifestyle and custom, value, Jatakas (the biography of Lord Buddha), legends, fables, folk wisdom, literature, and important days, 44 subclasses, 59 divisions,and 38 small topics.
