Abstract: The purposes of this study were to learn how Old-aged of Informal Workers preparing themselves by the following three main objectives: firstly, to study the objectives of preparation of Informal Workers for Old-aged living; secondly, to analyze the preparation pattern of Informal Workers for Old-aged living; thirdly, to determine the satisfaction of living life of Informal Workers. The samples were selected by using questionnaires from Informal Workers in Mueang district, Chiang Mai province, divided into 4 occupations: trade, service, transport and general employed which 100 people in each occupation. The factors affecting analyzed by using descriptive statistic and Likert scale. From the samples, most of Informal Workers were in working aged with averagely 47 years old, held middle school degree, average of 4 people in household, average of one child in household and average of one dependency people in household. The results found that Old-aged of Informal Workers gave precedence to the preparation for living the most. The incomes average was 9,000 baht/month with main occupations, the expenses average was 2,500 baht/month and the saving money was average 17,000 baht/month. They decided to save the money mostly with the bank and some of them saved the money in form of life insurance and social insurance. Most of Informal Workers had no debt and they also continue working in the same occupations. The preparation for housing found that the Informal Workers have lived in their own properties with the spouses and will remain to live the same properties without changing. The preparation for illness found that most of the Informal Workers used the service of the public hospitals by using the benefits from the gold card health care. Some of them used the benefits from life insurance, social insurance and the benefit form the spouses. The last one was the preparation for death, most of them joined funeral association and some joined life insurance and social insurance. According to the satisfaction of living found that the Informal Workers had the highest satisfaction level of the benefits that they received for illness and death. The satisfaction of housing and incomes were in the medium satisfaction level.
