Abstract: The study entitiled, “Analysis of Factors Affecting the Tutoring Center Choice of High School Students in the Mueang District, Chiang Mai, Thailand aimed to examine the special tutorial behavior and factors affecting decisions to take special tutorial courses of high school student in the Mueang district, Chiang Mai. The result of the study showed that most of the students were male whose age was 17 years old and studied in second years of high school with Science-Mathematics program. They studied in Montfort College with 2.51-3.50 GPA. Their parents worked as government officers who gained 10,001 to 20,000 baht per month. Most of the students lived in municipal area and took special tutorial courses. Regarding factors affecting decisions to take special tutorial courses of high school student in the Mueang district, Chiang Mai, the factor that influences on decisions to take special tutorial courses was that courses of the tutoring center was updated, the strong knowledge of tutors in the contents of the tutorial courses, the tutoring center was guaranteed and was set up according to law, the location of tutoring center was in safe and convenient transportation area, and there were public relations through printing media, the students thought that taking special tutorial courses could help them revised what they learned in their school classes. Most of students took special tutorial courses because supporting from their parents by proportion and least of them were persuaded by friends and teachers in their school by proportion. According to the special tutorial behavior of high school student in the Mueang district, Chiang Mai, it found that most students took courses at Ajarn Au tutoring center and took English course with 3,956 baht for the average expense. They wanted to study bachelor degree at Chiang Mai University in the faculty of Medicine. From the analysis bases on Logit Model, it found that factors affecting decisions to take special tutorial courses of high school student in the Mueang district, Chiang Mai was that they could pay expense in installments, the tutoring center was famous, taking special tutorial courses helped them had good grade, taking special tutorial courses because the suggestion from teachers in their schools, their parents supported them to take special tutorial courses, the tutors had some techniques that were very good and easy to understand and the location of tutoring center was in safe and convenient transportation area.
