Abstract: The purposes of this study were to construct and use learning plans on the topic of “The Living of the Plants ” for Prathom Suksa 4 students through the inquiry method and to study the Science Concepts of the students learning through the inquiry method. The target group for this study included 20 Prathom Suksa 4 students enrolled in the second semester of the 2015 academic year at Watmuangsart School, affiliated to the office of Chiang Mai Primary Education Service Area, Muang District, Chiang Mai province. The instruments used in this study were 8 two-hour long learning plans using inquiry method for developing science concepts taking 16 teaching hours and a 30-item test with four multiple choices on the science concepts. The collected data were analyzed in term of average percentage of posttest score then compared with the set criterion of 65% and the results were presented through tables with description. The findings showed that the 8 constructed plans using inquiry method could develop the science concepts of Prathom Suksa 4 students. The posttest had the average of 72.01% which was higher than the set criterion of 65 %. All students passed the criterion.
