Abstract: Pha-Mieng was the use of lands for tea planting. Tea was the plant which was important to the way of life of Lanna people who had local wisdom in Mieng production (fermented tea leaves). In addition, Mieng eating had been in Lanna culture for a long time and for important days or villages’ festivals such as temple fairs, funerals, new house ceremony or any other ceremonies, it was found that simple way of life was harmonious to nature such as believes or foods and the ancient northern foods like snacks were not various like those in present days. So people liked to serve Mieng or dried banana leaf cigarettes after meals. The study results showed that although Mae Kam Pong village, Mae-On district, Chiang Mai province put its position to be tourism village upon many supportive factors to be a tourist attraction, resulted from specific groups of tourists who were interested in community tourism to emphasize the usefulness of tourism to be a tool for sustainable natural resource conservation, it was still lack of accurate direction in supporting values and restoring cultural way of life of people in the community. In order to be a good tourist attraction, the community tourism did not emphasize the importance of Mieng which was the unique community culture, including its supportive factor for abundant forest so the village could be the ecotourism village. The way of life in making Mieng could make the cultural tourism village and the guideline for conserving and developing Pa-Mieng community at Mae Kam Pong Village, Mae-On district, Chiang Mai province to be a learning center and cultural tourism and a community which had the plantation of Mieng and the production of Mieng to distribute in Chiang Mai area and nearby. Presently, Mieng making decreased to a few maker, thus, Pamieng was abandoned as well as the equipment was also abandoned. Nevertheless, there were some Mieng maker and their Pamieng, meanwhile Mae Kam Pong was natural tourist attraction with the nice weather and many supportive factors. However, there was still difficulties when tourists visited the community, there were not many tourist attraction points. Therefore, the author suggested in this study the guideline for learning and traveling in cultural tourism at Mae Kam Pong village to emphasize Pamieng learning and traveling along with Mieng making culture which was Mae Kam Pong villagers’ the ancient way of life. The author found that in Pamieng community was plenty of art and cultural history which valued in many aspects i.e. values for people’s way of life, local wisdom, believes, building and developing community to be a learning and cultural tourism place. With the relation between communities in Pamieng community, they were ready to love and cherish cultural resource when the communities had roles to run the tourism themselves. In addition, the community was strong enough with the capacity of the community skill in term of tourism. We could just add more cultural value for community then they could see their self-value, therefore, they had idea to add more community values and received economic advantages. For instance, they had more income and the community was strong and could be a learning and cultural traveling point. The author thought that this could be a good guideline to follow as it would improve the capacity of Mae Kam Pong village. The author applied the theories i.e. 1) villagers’ participation, 2) creative cultural heritage tourism idea, 3) cultural scenery restoration idea to use in the study and also the opinions from the population, expecting that this guideline could be practical and useful for Mae Kam Pong village.
