Abstract: | Theobjectives of this independent study were to study level of the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People Principle by Stephen R. Covey and to findthe correlation between habit levels and between general characteristics and habits level of Employees of TOT Public Company Limited in Eight Upper Northern Provinces. Questionnaires were used to collect data from 254 samples chosen by quota sampling from employees of TOT Public Company Limited in Eight Upper Northern Provinces. Statistical analysis techniques used in this study were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA and correlation analysis. Most of the respondents were marriedmenolder than 40 years old.Their highest education was bachelor's degree.They had been working with TOT Public Company Limited for a period of 6-10 years. Theiraveragemonthlyincome was10,001 to 20,000 bath. They had5 subordinates.They voluntarily participated in organization activities6 to 10 times per year . They had an opportunity to attend a lesson or a class concerning the Seven Habits for Highly Effective People Principle. The result of the study showed that the respondents had high level of Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw, Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Habit 4: Think Win/Win, Habit 6: Synergize , Habit 3: Put First Thing First, Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind, Habit 1: Be Proactive, Life Balance Habits and Emotional Bank Account Habit, respectively. Public Victory Habit, Overall 7 Habit and Private Victory Habits were ranked at high level, respectively. The level of Emotional Bank Account Habitwere significantlydifferent among thesecharacteristics: marital status and attendance or participation in events held by the organization. The level of LifeBalance Habitwere not significantlydifferent among allrespondentcharacteristics. The level of Private Victory Habits were significantly different among thesecharacteristics:marital status, highest level of education and average income per month. The level of Public Victory Habitswere significantlydifferent between thischaracteristic: highest level of education. The levelof Overall 7 Habit ware significantly different among thesecharacteristics:marital status and highest level of education. The correlation analysis showed that the Emotion Bank Account, Life Balance and Habit 1 to Habit 7 were positively correlated with each others. Employees who hadan opportunity to attend a lesson or a class concerning the 7 Habit had higher average level of the Emotional Bank, Life Balance, Habit 1: Be Proactive, Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind, Habit 3: Put First Thing First, Habit 4: Think Win/Win, , Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Habit 6: Synergize, Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw than employeeswho did not have opportunity to attend the class. The correlation analysis showed that age was not correlated with any habit. The correlation analysis showed that working period with TOT was not correlated with any habit. |
