Abstract: Examining an app’s interface performance requires careful focus on all its parts. A Iso, developers and testers with limited expertise can hinder assessing the app’s performance in development design, and system testing. Currently, smartphone operating system applications are prevalent due to their usability and accessibility. They serve as a convenient and suitable medium for disseminating information or delivering health education since everyone possesses a personal smartphone and can access it anywhere when connected to the internet. However, while numerous applications related to applied informatics, such as medical, prevention, and education apps, are being developed, only a few are designed and developed appropriately. Users should find them easy and convenient to use. This research focuses on designing and developing a straightforward performance assessment to measure the efficiency of the system's user interface and functions, aiming to set a benchmark for basic medical applications. We experimented with applied information applications, specifically medical apps in the prevention and education categories. The evaluation criteria are based on heuristic system performance evaluation standards, incorporating creative thinking principles to understand and address problems using design thinking. This systematic thinking process in prototype development involves gathering relevant information, followed by expert interviews in application development and design. These experts provide insights and recommendations, ensuring the application's safety, reliability, and accuracy. A simple performance evaluation test was crafted to measure the efficiency of the system user interface and functions of applied information applications, particularly medical apps in the prevention and education category. A statistical evaluation model was employed, utilizing quality determination techniques. The evaluation's validity was assessed by considering the correlation coefficient in the analysis of the evaluation form's consistency with its objectives (IOC: Index of Item Objective Congruence), yielding an average value of 0.801. The confidence evaluation of the form's consistency averaged at 0.802 The results of this straightforward performance assessment aim to offer criteria for designing effective applications in the medical prevention and education domain, grounded in standard heuristics. This ensures the application's efficacy in design and use. These evaluation criteria can serve as a foundation for designing and developing other related applications in the future.
