Abstract: | The objectives of this study were 1) to design and assess the learning management plan in the competency-based local curriculum Mae Taeng Path to enhance communication and occupational competencies of grade 7 students, 2) to compare the levels of communication competence of grade 7 students before and after learning using the competency-based local curriculum Mae Taeng Path, and 3) to compare the levels of occupational competencies of grade 7 students before and after learning using the competency-based local curriculum Mae Taeng Path. The research sample consisted of 36 grade 7 students from Maetang School, in the second semester of academic year 2023, and they were selected by cluster random sampling. The research tools employed in the experiment included a learning management plans in competency-based local curriculum Mae Taeng Path. Data collection tools encompassed communication competency assessment form and occupational competency assessment form. The data were analyzed by means, standard deviations, and t-test. The study findings were summarized as follows: 1) the 14 learning management plans totaling 20 hours within the learning management plan in the local competency-based local curriculum Mae Taeng Path to enhance communication and occupational competencies of grade 7 students, were found to be of the highest propriety level. 2) the communication competencies of students after using the local competency-based local curriculum Mae Taeng Path unit were significantly higher than before at a statistically significant level of .01, and 3) the occupational competencies of students after using the local competency-based local curriculum Mae Taeng Path unit were significantly higher than before at a statistically significant level of .01. |
