Abstract: The Phrae Provincial Agricultural Office had promoted production technology to improve the production of tangerine quality, but most farmers still do not accept technology. Most farmers grow oranges naturally and did not take care according to academic principles much. While some farmers had good care, there is still a demand for knowledge and application of production technology. The researcher was therefore interested in studying the factors related to the acceptance of tangerine production technology by farmers in Phrae Province. The objectives of this research are 1) to study basic personal characteristics. Some economic and social aspects of farmers growing quality tangerines, Wang Chin District, Phrae Province 2) to analyze factors related to the acceptance of quality tangerine production technology by farmers growing quality tangerines, Wang Chin District, Phrae Province, and 3) To analyze problems, needs, and suggestions regarding quality tangerine production technology for farmers who grow quality tangerines in Wang Chin District, Phrae Province. The population was 194 farmers who participated in the Tangerine Large Plot Project with the Phrae Provincial Agricultural Office from 2017 to 2021. An interview schedule was used to collect data, the alpha coefficient was 0.741, and stepwise multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data. The assumptions in this study were basic personal factors, economic factors and social factors affect farmers’ adoption of Tangerine quality production technology in Wang Chin district, Phrae province.The result showed that most of the farmers were male with an average age of 60.76 years. Graduated from primary school, and had 14.74 years of experience in growing tangerines. The average number of household workers was 3.01 people, an average of 2.51 temporary workers, an average amount of tangerine growing area of 6.76 rai, and the average amount of tangerine production produced in 2022 was 15,278.54 kilograms. By selling produce, produce from the canal/orange stands. The produce can be sold at an average price of 10.84 baht/per kilogram. have net income (less production costs) from the sale of tangerine produce, an average of 136,463.22 baht. All farmers use their household land to produce tangerines. However, most farmers have outstanding debts. The farmers who are burdened with debt have an average outstanding debt of 148,633.33 baht. Most farmers do not have a social position. Farmers with the social position of village headman/village headman/assistant village headman and a member of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) customer group. The most farmers have contact with agricultural extension officers regarding the production of quality tangerine averaging 4.56 times/3 months. Farmers' compliance with technology for producing tangerines averaged 37.06 points. Farmers had a high level of compliance with technology for producing quality tangerines. Furthermore, it found that knowledge level regarding the production of quality tangerines had a statistically significant negative correlation at the 0.05 level with the level of compliance with quality tangerine production technology. Suggestions from this study include that the government should set goals for promoting quality tangerine production technology for farmers in Wang Chin District, Phrae Province. And the government should plan the promotion by integrating relevant officials to provide knowledge, advice, and join in planning water resource management, promoting academic knowledge, and linking markets to support farmers' produce. Including the government sector should focus on managing disease and insect outbreaks appropriately, and supporting water resources so that farmers have enough water to use during the production season. And the government should support the integration of production and processing groups by setting standards and controlling the price of tangerine production to the same standard, and should support the integration of farmers who produce more quality tangerines.
