Abstract: | The purposes of this research were 1) To study the conditions and problems of teaching Thai culture to promote Thai communication skills for students in Higher Education Institutions of Republic China 2) To study Thai culture teaching skills and Thai communication skills for students in Higher Education Institutions of Republic China 3) To propose Thai cultural teaching guidelines to promote Thai language communication skills for students in China's higher education institutions. The population used in research are Chinese students enrolled in semester 1/2021, Yunnan Technology and Business University and Kunming College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The tools used in the research are questionnaires and group discussion points. statistics used are frequency, percentage, average, and standard deviation. The results of this research found: 1. Overview of Thai culture teaching for students in Higher Education Institutions of Republic China It found that students agree with teaching Thai culture for students in higher education institutions of Republic China at a very high level. The administraters' opinion agree with teaching Thai culture for students in higher education institutions in China at a moderate level. Instructors agree with teaching Thai culture for students in higher education institutions in China at a very high level. 2. Teaching skills of Thai culture instructors found that they had teaching skills in the top three: 1) Encourage participation in supplementary activities to improve themselves and society 2) Encourage students to study, research and collaborate, 3) intertwining with morality and ethics in teaching. The top three Thai cultural content teaching skills are 1) Thai dance 2) Thai manners 3) Thai film and drama, and teaching activities skills. The top three learners activiries are 1) Cooperation Learning 2) Task-based Learning 3) Project-based Learning, while students' Thai communication skills have found that learning Thai culture promotes Thai speaking skills, Thai writing skills, Thai listening skills, and Thai reading skills, respectively. 3. Thai Cultural Teaching Guidelines for Students in Higher Education Institutions Republic of China It found that instructors should organize activities to teach Thai cultural content to promote Thai communication skills. Reading Thai Listening, Speaking and Writing skills are with evaluation the curriculum, teacher qualifications, teaching and learning. |
