Abstract: | The purpose of this independent study is to implement Lean Theory to increase productivity of ceramic glaze liquid. The product chosen for this study is ceramic glaze size 200 liters /tank, which consists of 4 main colors: Cerise, Mist Grey, Flame and White. Those colors are the highest value of the products and have the same amount of raw materials. One of the key aspects of production is to improve the production process by reducing production activity that do not produce value and improving output to increased productivity. The main objectives of this research are key techniques that can be applied, including lean production systems that help reduce waste. By eliminating the nonvalue added in the product activity and improve time efficiently. Furthermore ECRS is employed to improve working process and locationarrangements. As a result, the productivity of the ceramic glaze liquid is increased by 200 litre/day (25% improvement), the production time is decreased 27.90 minute (23.25% improvement), the production steps are reduced by 8 steps (26.67% improvement) and the movement during production is decreased by 74.00 meter (59.20% improvement). |
