Abstract: | This independent study aimed to compare the students’ computational thinking skill by using Game-Based learning management during the pretest and posttest in computing science course for grade 4 students and to examine the learning motivation of student after learning by using Game-Based learning management in computing science course. The population was 17 students in grade 4, during the second semester in the academic year 2021 of Chumchon Ban Pa Kor Dam School, Mae lao District, Chiang Rai province. The instruments used in the study consisted of 8 game-based learning management plan, computational thinking skill test, and the students’ learning motivation scale. The data was analyzed by finding the means, standard deviations, percentages, and gain scores. The results of the study found that 1. The computational thinking skill of students after learning by using game-based learning is higher than before with the gain score equal to 67.80 percent, which was at the high level of development. 2. Students’ learning motivation after using game-based learning management, has an overall average value at 4.72 which was at the highest level. |
