Abstract: The purposes of this research were: 1) to study the scientific problem solving ability of grade 4 students learning through Group Investigation method, and 2) to study the science learning achievement of grade 4 students learning through Group Investigation method at Anuban Chiangmai School, Chiang Mai Province, in the Ist semester of academic year 2020. The target group of this research was 40 students of grade 4 at Anuban Chiang Mai School, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province. The research instruments were: 1) The lesson plan taught through Group Investigation method 2) The scientific problem solving ability test 3) Science Learning Achievement Test on Material properties. The data were analyzed by means of average standard deviation and t-test. The results were as follows: 1. The score of scientific problem solving ability on Material properties of students studied through the Group Investigation method was a statistically significantly higher at the .01 level. 2. The post-test score of the science learning achievement on Material properties of students studied through the Group Investigation method was statistically significantly higher than pre-test at the .01 level.
