Abstract

The purposes of this study were to explore 1) the elements and working patterns of the network affecting the success of forest restoration of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park and 2) factors affecting the functioning of the network in forest restoration of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park including the government, non-profit organization, the private sector, and the people sector. Selection criteria used were those involved in forest restoration of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park. In- depth interview was used to analyze the data. Research instruments were 3 0 informants and data from relevant documents. Findings of the study revealed that the elements and working patterns of the network affecting the success of forest restoration of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park consist of five elements: 1) network members, 2) common goals, 3) mutual benefits, 4) member participation, and 5) mutual dependence. In addition, factors affecting the functioning of the network in forest restoration of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park include three supporting factors: 1) setting common goals, 2) trust, and 3) communication.
