Abstract: The enhancement of trivalent europium ion on the spectroscopic properties of zinc barium tellurite oxyfluoride glasses has been investigated set up under 8 different conditions of the (55-x)TeO2-10ZnF2-35BaO-xEu2O3 with 0.0 ≤ x ≤ 8.0 (in mol %). The physical, optical and photoluminescence properties. Measuring the UV-VIS-NIR absorption spectra with a proven measured in air atmosphere in the range of 200–2,500 nm demonstrated an extension of intensity of all absorption bands with Eu2O3 contents increased. In addition, the performance with excitation wavelengths of 465 nm carried out the photoluminescence properties of Eu3+ doped ZnF2-BaO-TeO2 glass system. As a final observation, five photoluminescence bands were monitored at 578 nm, 591 nm, 612 nm, 652 nm and 700 nm that transition from the relaxation of an electron from excited state to lower state. The intense peak (reddish-orange emission) of the glasses was found at 612 nm. Methodical analysis of the results encouraged that the Eu2O3 doped is applicable for laser material and optical device applications.
