Abstract: © 2020 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. Different weight contents of AgBr nanoparticles supported on hierarchical ZnO nanostructure flowers were synthesized by precipitation-deposition method at room temperature. The nanocomposites were investigated for photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB) under ultraviolet (UV)-visible light irradiation. The analytical results show that AgBr nanoparticles with size range of 60–80 nm were supported on hierarchical ZnO nanostructure flowers with ∼4 µm diameter. The photodegradation was improved by AgBr nanoparticles loaded on ZnO nanopetals. In this research, 10 wt% AgBr–ZnO nanocomposites have the highest photodegradation of MB under UV-visible light irradiation.
