บทบาทของพยาบาลผดุงครรภ์ในการส่งเสริมการเข้ามีส่วนร่วมของบิดาภายหลังบุตรเกิด

Abstract

การเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมของบิดาในระยะหลังคลอดมีความสำคัญเป็นอย่างมากต่อมารดา และบุตร การที่บิดาเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมภายหลังบุตรเกิดจะช่วยบรรเทาความเหนื่อยล้า ตึงเครียดของมารดาทั้งด้านร่างกายและจิตใจที่เกิดขึ้นจากการเลี้ยงดูบุตร ทำให้มีกำลังใจในการเลี้ยงดูบุตร สามารถตอบสนองความต้องการของบุตรได้อย่างเหมาะสม จากแนวคิดการเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมของบิดาโดยแลมป์ (Lamb, 2000) ประกอบด้วย 3 องค์ประกอบ ได้แก่ 1) การเข้ามามีปฏิสัมพันธ์ (engagement) บิดาจะเข้ามามีปฏิสัมพันธ์โดยตรงกับบุตรในการเข้าไปดูแลและทำกิจกรรมต่างๆ ร่วมกัน 2) การเอื้อให้สามารถเข้าถึงบิดาได้ตามความต้องการ(accessibility) เป็นการแสดงว่าบิดามีตัวตน คอยอยู่ดูแลและให้ความช่วยเหลือมารดาและบุตรเมื่อมีความต้องการ และ 3) การแสดงความรับผิดชอบ (responsibility) บิดาจะเป็นผู้รับผิดชอบในการจัดหาทรัพยากรและเตรียมสวัสดิการต่างๆ ให้มีความพร้อมในการดูแลมารดาและบุตร การเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมของบิดาขึ้นอยู่กับปัจจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง 4ปัจจัยได้แก่ ปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล ปัจจัยด้านครอบครัว ปัจจัยด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม และปัจจัยด้านวัฒนธรรม ดังนั้นพยาบาลผดุงครรภ์ควรมีบทบาทสำคัญในการสนับสนุนและส่งเสริมการปฏิบัติหน้าที่และเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมของบิดาภายหลังบุตรเกิด โดยคำนึงถึงปัจจัยที่มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้อง ทั้งนี้เพื่อให้บิดาสามารถเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในการช่วยเหลือและดูแลมารดาและบุตรในระยะหลังคลอดได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ส่งผลให้มารดาและบุตรได้รับการดูแลที่ครอบคลุมทั้งทางด้านร่างกายและจิตใจอย่างสมบูรณ์

Father involvement after child birth is important for mother and child. The involvement of father can relieve maternal fatigue, stress both physical and mental, which occurred from responsibility in childcare. It could encourage mother in childcare and respond to the needs of their children appropriately. Base on the father’sinvolvement concept, studied by Lamp (2000), there are three elements consisted of 1) engagement, that was interaction between father and the children, childcare and perform activities together, 2) accessibility, which was represented that father has identity and ready for assistance his wife and his child, and 3) responsibility, that was providing the resources and benefits for mother and children. Involvement of the father after childbirth based on four factors, including: personal factor, family factor, environmental factor, and cultural factor. Therefore, nurse-midwife should play an important role in supporting and promoting function of father and father involvement after childbirth by concerning with all related factors. This will enhance father to take part in caring mothers and children during postpartum effectively. As a result, mothers and children will receive comprehensive care in both body and mind entirely.
