Abstract: This independent study aimed to study the production’s management of broiler chicken farms towards the broiler contract farming and to study the attitude and the satisfaction of farmers who raise the chickens towards broiler contract farming, in Meuang District, Lamphun Province. The 14 farmers chosen to be the sample group were from Meuang, Lamphun. The farmers then were divided into 4 groups according to the contracted company and the farm’s size. The questionnaire was used as the tool for collecting and analyzing the data. The Descriptive Statistics; frequency and percentage, were used for analyzing. From the study, most of answerers were male, 53 years old in average, graduated from primary school, and their jobs were broiler chickens’ raising. In their family, there are 3-5 family members. They hired 1-2 workers. For the production, the average farm’s area was about 2-5 farms which there was only one henhouse in 900 square meters. And there were about 11,000 - 12,000 chickens per each henhouse. There were 1 - 6 generations of chickens per year. For the farm’s standard, they followed the standard of broiler chicken farm. The duration for raising the chickens was 34 days and the duration for breaking the raising was 40 days. The average weight of chickens was 1.63 kilograms. The rate of chickens’ survival was about 97.41 percentage. The rate of Feed Conversation Ratio (FCR) was 1.72. The efficiency of the production was about 269.38, this was the great level. When considering the attitude with the systems, all farmers extremely agreed on the production systems consisting of the technology, the manufacturing, the outcome, and the environment. In addition, they thought that the farm management, the animal health, and the financial contracts had high risk, except the marketing management which had low risk. For the satisfaction, the third and the forth groups of farmers had more satisfaction about the contract and the suggestion about the agricultural support than the first and the second groups. However, all groups satisfied about the credit service, the convenience, and the products’ buying in the same level. This included the information of the problems in raising the broiler chickens. Everyone asked for help from the contracted company and also the private and the government organizations. For the satisfaction in the contract farming, the farmers at groups 3 and 4 are satisfied than the group 1 and group 2 in the contract and make recommendations to agriculture but the satisfaction of the loan facilities and services for the four groups to produce similar levels of satisfaction Including information about the problems in broilers annual plan. This will give farmers the confidence to plan and manage their ongoing also, there should be an improvement on the performance of the authorities to promote the broiler. To promote the knowledge and understanding to the farmers continued. Especially in farm management and farm guide for respondents farmers are understood and can be implemented on the farm properly.
