Abstract: | This research had the objectives of studying the behavior and satisfaction of teachers in Lamphun Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 who used the loan service from welfare for teachers and educational personnel loan scheme. Questionnaires were distributed to a total sample group of 250 teachers and educational personnel. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics while the weight of satisfaction was measured using the Likert Scale. The study found that most of the sample population was female, married with an average age of 47 and they had served in the government for about 22 years, with a Bachelor’s Degree and they received a salary of 40,001 – 50,000 Bht. per month. They lived in their own home with their parents with an average of four people. The sample group held membership in the welfare loan for teachers for about 19 years. The loans were used mainly for paying debts. The loan amount was 1,091,600 Bht. per person on average with the average period of payment of 27 years at 6,731.36 Bht. per month. The average loan application was one time per member. The loan payment was deducted at the point of salary payment of their work unit. Most of the loan takers had to apply for a life insurance policy within 870,950.41 Bht. on average. They also served as a guarantor for about two other loan borrowers without getting any compensation. Most of the sample group never missed paying the loan payment or their debt. The sample was satisfied at a moderate level with the loan service in the welfare program. The highest satisfaction was concerning the loan to improve their quality of life and for their family members, followed by the suitability of the loan amount and the documents required for the loan respectively. |
