Abstract: This study is aimed to: 1) study the result of the evaluation of performance quality of teacher assistant on readiness and intensive development in Wiang Haeng, Chiang Mai Primary Education Service Area 3; and 2) to comprehend the problems and suggestions in improving performance quality of teachers assistant in Wiang Haeng, Chiang Mai Primary Education Service Area 3. The population of this study was comprised of 8 school administrators, 9 teachers, 9 honorary basic education commissions and 66 teacher assistants in the academic year 2012. There were 2 tools used in this research which were: 1) a questionnaire used with the teacher assistants, and 2) a structural interview form used with school administrators, teachers and honorary basic education commissions. The statistics used for data analysis were mean and standard deviation. The result of the research can be summarized as follows: 1. For the of performance quality of teachers assistant on readiness and intensive development in Wiang Haeng, Chiang Mai Primary Education Service Area 3, it found that it was in good level in both performance and behavior. 2. For the suggestion on the performance quality of teacher assistant on readiness and intensive development in Wiang Haeng, Chiang Mai Primary Education Service Area 3, it found that the teacher assistants could adapt to the new colleagues, community and environment as they could work with teacher friends. The secondary aspect was that the teacher assistants lacked of working experience. It is suggested that there should be arranged training, orientation and advice on teachers’ law and discipline to enhance them with knowledge and working skills. They should be implanted with good moral and ethnic so that they could realize their duties and responsibilities. As for the performance, it found that the teacher assistants had too much workload which was somehow beyond their capability and irrelevant to their proficiency. The teacher assistants also lacked of working experience such as financial and material aspects. It is suggested that they should be provided and supported with knowledge and measurements such as training or seminar in order to enhance their ability in teaching and basic working performance, etc.
