Abstract

Currently. The primary cause of early loss of primary molars is a decayed tooth. Such decay can cause toothache, early loss of primary teeth and abnormalities in the permanent occlusion. If dentist can prevent abnormalities due to early loss of primary molar teeth, there should be a decrease in complications in the permanent dentition. This case report presents a modified distal shoe appliance for a patient with a small size first primary molar, which may be found in a daily practice and should help general dentists to provide an appropriate treatment.
