Abstract: Due to the increasingly of the industry, the requirement of the power quality is more important. In the event of a short period of the power failure, it will lead to make an unpredictable of loss. In order to decrease the power failure occurrence, the power quality monitoring system development is required. This paper presents the methodology for monitoring the power quality (PQ) by implement the monitoring system that able to detect the power fluctuation in real-time. The monitoring system acquired the power signals by using power measurement IC which perform calculation of power quality indexes which interfaced by using ARM7 microcontroller. The monitoring system uses the energy measurement integrated circuit (IC) ADE7758 with power quality monitoring features from Analog Devices Incorporation. The monitoring system detects for sag and swells voltage and stored to external storage device ©2008 IEEE.
