Abstract

This Individual study was a design of Information System which could be used for transport management within the distribution center of retail business. This process brought the barcode system and visual control in order to reduced the operation process, reduced waiting time to load the products and increased the customer satisfaction about distribution management The first step was to take information system for improving operation process efficiency and effectiveness by choosing and designing in part of monitor screen of vehicles in order to easily communicate between warehouse staffs and the drivers. From the result of using program, it was found that this program could help to reduce the working process of 2 departments. Distribution department saved the times for 15 minutes (20% of the process). While transport department reduce operation time approximately 15 minutes as equal as 12.5%. Also, the receiving process was decreased to 5% along to determined target that lead to reduce the percentage of delayed delivery process at 8% which was lower than determined target. Overall, this information system could improve the logistics management effectiveness and also increase the store’ satisfaction in on-time deliver.
