Abstract

The objective of this independent study was to evaluate the Government Fiscal Management Information System (GFMIS) of Government Offices in Phrae Province. The research sample for this study were 212 members of staff who consisted of Chief of Government Offices, Chief of Accounting and Financing and staff who were involved with the GFMIS. Data were collected through of questionnaires, then, analyzed by the use of descriptive statistics consisting of frequency, percentage and mean. The findings showed that most staff who were involved with the GFMIS were 51-60 years old. They graduated in accounting and other major in equal, working within the government for 1-5 years, and trained on GFMIS on average once per year. There are 4 fields on evaluations: context, input, process, and product. The questionnaire’s answers evaluated in high level for every fields, sort these in order of context, product, input, and process. The respondents concluded that the most appropriate content were the suitability of the system; with the least appropriate content were the economic factors.

The respondents concluded that the most appropriate input factors were the staff; with the least appropriate input factors being the equipment. The respondents concluded the most appropriate process factors were commanding; with the least appropriate process factors being planning. For GFMIS system process, the respondents who worked in GFMIS system concluded that the most appropriate GFMIS system process were payment system; with the least appropriate GFMIS system process were the costs. Respondents evaluated the most appropriate product factors were GFMIS in order to help monitor the data; the least appropriate product factors were GFMIS to help reduce the burden for the official.
