Abstract: The objectives of this Independent Study research were 1) to study the problems of conducting the classroom action research and the need for supporting the teachers to conduct the classroom action research of Payap Technological and Business College, Chiang Mai Province 2) to suggest the guidelines for supporting the teachers to conduct the classroom action research at Payap Technological and Business College, Chiang Mai. There were three processes on this study. The first process was to study the problems of classroom action research and the need for classroom action research development of the teachers at Payap Technological and Business College Chiang Mai Province. The population of the study was the teachers of Payap Technological and Business College, Chiang Mai Province. The tool used in the study was the questionnaire. The data analysis was performed by using mean and standard deviation. The second process was to study and draft the guidelines for promoting the classroom action research of the teachers at Payap Technological and Business College, Chiang Mai Province. The population were the Head of Departments, the administrators or the teachers who work for the three vocational colleges in Chiang Mai where had been assessed at the Good Level for the second and the third session of the External Quality Assessment on the classroom action research. The tool used in the study was the questionnaire. The inductive approach used for analyzing the data. The third process was to check the guidelines for supporting the professional classroom action research of the teachers at Payap Technological and Business College, Chiang Mai Province. The population were specifically the experts on the classroom action research including two college directors and three specialist teachers or upwards. The tool used in the study was the efficiency checklist for examining the accuracy, appropriateness and feasibility of the created guidelines. The data was analyzed by using mean and standard deviation. The result of the study on the problems of conducting the classroom action research showed that the three process of the study were evaluated at the highest level. The three suggested guidelines of the need for supporting the teachers to conduct the classroom research action at Payap Technological and Business College were evaluated at the high level. The feasible guidelines for supporting the teachers to conduct the classroom action research of Payap Technological and Business College, Chiang Mai Province concerning with the objective awareness of classroom action research were described as following; Teachers should be strongly supported to attend educational training and educational excursions in order to acquire knowledge and gain more experience about conducting classroom action research, teachers should be able to co-plan the obvious goals of conducting the classroom action research with the organization before starting the actual task, and teachers should know how to conduct the classroom action research wholly in every single step including the full form of research which totally contains five chapters. The feasible guidelines concerning with the resources were described as following; the information technology sources should be particularly provided for teachers such as the high-speed internet, the study corner desks and other necessary facilities including accessible data-base system. The feasible guidelines concerning with the self-motivation techniques were described as following; teachers should be motivated properly such as receiving good compliments, praising words or rewarded for the well-done research. Research funding, sponsorship and the forum for presenting research works must be provided continuously. The result of the verification, the appropriateness and the feasibility of the guidelines for supporting the teachers to conduct the classroom action research of Payap Technological and Business College, Chiang Mai Province was at the highest level.
