Abstract: | This research aims to explore the factors influencing the decision to purchase electric vehicles (EVs) in Chiang Mai and Lamphun, utilizing the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method to identify the most suitable option. Factors derived from the questionnaire are used as criteria, with EV brands such as MG, Tesla, BYD, Great Wall Motor, and Neta considered as alternatives. A total of 373 respondents contributed to the study, evaluating factors in their decision to buy an EV, including driving range per charge, price, vehicle design, battery capacity, battery warranty distance, distribution of service centers, maintenance costs, and charging cost from 0% to 100%. The content's coverage was verified through expert opinions and input from individuals with EV experience. To assess the consistency of the questions with the research objective, the bias in questionnaire responses was analyzed using the Independent t-test method, revealing no significant difference at the 0.05 level. Results showed that respondents prioritized three main factors when considering EVs: driving range per charge (380-559 km), charging time per session (8-10 hours), and price (ranging from 549,000 to 1,659,000 baht). |
