Abstract: | The Royal Project Foundation was established in 1969. Initially, the supported types of plants were Winter fruits and flowers. Subsequently, the consumers’ demand for organic lettuces, such as Cos, Green Oak Lettuce, and Red Oak lettuce, is continuously increasing. As a result, the Royal Project Foundation significantly supported agriculturists to harvest the three types of plants from 2014 until organic lettuce can be listed in the top 10 main types of the Royal Project Foundation. However, it revealed that the Royal Project Foundation was not capable of producing enough organic lettuces to meet the consumers’ demand because of the problem in the supply chain, such as climate change issue, the delay in the production processes, or the unbalance of resources. Besides, supply chain management and logistic cost of Thung luang royal project development center is different from other area. The purpose of the study is to investigate the supply chain of the organic lectures by a means of applying the SCOR model, classifying logistic cost by stock & Lambert and analyzing logistic cost by activity-based costing. The result found that logistic cost of the farmers is 1,983,299.14 baht or 17.06 baht per kilogram. Thung Luang Royal Project Development Center is 5,063,766.05 baht or 31.95 baht per kilogram. Almost stakeholder can manage continuously the supply chain operating because they always plan for every process. In addition, the stakeholder has meeting for exchanging the information to improve supply chain in every quarter. However almost activities of famers are disrupted by climates, diseases, and insects. Besides, in terms of supply and production of agriculturists, it revealed that a majority of agriculturists encountered difficulties with the raw material supplies and the issue of the broken greenhouse. Consequently, it caused a production slowdown. As a result, it caused the agriculturist to fail their target to achieve cultivating the determined number of crops, and additionally, some crops were even unqualified. In addition, farmers have high costs due to lack of maintenance of agricultural equipment and farmers still lack the power to purchase inputs because they buy in small amounts. Therefore, one of the solutions to improve the supply chain is there were the pre-at-least-three-to-six-moth-purchase planning, and the construction of the quality building, both of which were effective solutions to battling the issue well, gather a group to buy factors of production, in which can help increase bargaining power and be a way to solve problems that asrise. In addition, to reduce the labor shortage problem, Thung Luang Royal Project Development Center should increase quality of life benefits for workers, which is a guideline for increasing the efficiency of operations in the supply chain. |
