Abstract: The purposes of the study on the social movement of the Young Pride Club, Chiang Mai Province were 1) to study the history of the Young Pride Club, 2) to study the development of concepts and movement methods of the Young Pride Club, and 3) to study the external factors influencing on the Young Pride Club movement. The study was a qualitative research study. The data was collected from relevant documents and in depth interviews with 6 key informants for data analysis using the concept of social movement. The results of the study revealed that the formation of the group was initiated by the founders of the group having a concept of gender identity. Therefore, They joined groups with people with the same ideology by grouping together without an organizational structure. The concept of gender identity was problem-defined and presented through various activities. The group had set up a tactical framing for movement, divided into 3 phases. The first phase was the formation of the group (2018) and was active through Facebook and Website. The group presented online media content on gender identity and gender rights issues through relevant international news. In addition, the group used on-campus events to expand alignment among students, such as the Gender Talk Contest and My Body My Right events. The second phase is during the network expansion of the group (2019), in which the group was successful in expanding collaboration with other movement organizations through Chiang Mai Pride activities. Thus, the framing has been expanded to other human rights issues, such as handicapped group, ethnic groups, sex worker groups, etc. The last phase is network maintenance (2020). It was found that the COVID-19 situation occurred. Hence, the group changed its tactics by focusing on online activities via ZOOM and Clubhouse, emphasizing on presenting and disseminating ideas about gender identity. These findings indicated that the three stages of the movement's tactics are driven through the framing of gender identity to define the problem by conveying ideological transmission activities. Such strategies have been successful in expanding the alignment of both organizations and the masses to the point of being of interest to society, especially through Chiang Mai Pride activities, even though after that the alignment could not be continuously expanded because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
