Abstract: | Medical Physician is one of the most stressful careers in the world. If a physician cannot properly manage the stress, it could lead them to Job Burnout which is a condition that contains with Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization and Decreased Personal Accomplishment. This independent study has focused on the level of Job Burnout and the correlation between Job Stressors and Job Burnout. Of the 398 samples taken by a questionnaire across all Physician Specialties, 56.5% were female and 43.5% were male, all were aged between 30 - 40 years old working in Thailand. The collected data was analyzed by descriptive statistics (Frequency, Percentage, Mean and Standard Deviation) and inferential statistics (Biserial Correlation and Binary Logistic Regression Analysis). The study shows that physicians working in Thailand have a high level of Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalization and Reduced Personal Accomplishment in Job Burnout, the mean of the score are 24.77, 9.79 and 10.29 respectively. The Job Stressors including Workload, Working Environment, Work-Family Conflict and Organization have a significant correlation with Emotional Exhaustion and Depersonalization. But Workload and Working Environment have an inverted correlation with Reduced Personal Accomplishment significantly. Moreover, Dayshift Working, Working Hazard, Work-Family Conflict and Executive Management Skills are associated with a high level of Emotional Exhaustion. Day and Night shift Working and Executive Management Skills are associated with a high level of Depersonalization. |
