Abstract: | The purposes of this research were to develop interdisciplinary learning management units to promote learning Thai language by using Total Physical Response Techniques and to study reading skills of Grade 1 students by using Total Physical Response Technique. The population were 12 Grade 1 students at Ban Huayha School, Mae La Noi District, Mae Hong Son Elementary Education Service Area Office, Region 2, in the second semester the academic year 2021. The research instruments were 1) 4 interdisciplinary learning units with 11 lesson plans, within 20 hours of time. 2) The pre and post reading skills test. The data were analyzed by using means with standard deviation, averaging percentages and relative gain score. The results of the research were as follows: 1) the interdisciplinary learning units using TPR technique assessment by the experts' opinions for the overall aspects were at the most appropriate level. 2) The results of the students reading skills ; before the using TPR units all skills assessed i.e. reading words, sentences and a passage were at the improved level and the students reading skills assessed after using the unit plans were at excellent level on reading words and a passage. The students sentences reading skill were at good level. In conclusion the relative gain score of the students were at high level of development. |
