Abstract: The objectives of this study were to develop the lesson plans for development of the English reading skills of grade 6 students using the mind map technique and to study the English reading skills of those students after using the developed plans. The targets of the study were 25 of grade 6 students in AnubanPai (Wiang Tai) School, Wiang Tai Sub-district, Pai District, Maehongson Province in the second semester of 2019 academic year. The research instruments were 10 English lesson plans using mind map technique and reading English test. Data analysis by using mean and percentage then compared with the set criteria. The study results as follow; 1) The 5 developed plans consumed 10 learning hours could develop the English reading skills of grade 6 students sequencely. There was continuity of content, as well as the challenging activities. All of them could propel the learning process of students. 2) The outcomes of the study of the English reading skills of grade 6 after those plans showed that the students had average percentage scores of the English reading skills at 63.60% which was higher than the set criteria of 60%
