Abstract: The purposes of this study were (1) to examine levels of positive orientation, work engagement and career satisfaction, and (2) to investigate relationships of positive orientation to work engagement and career satisfaction. A correlational research was used. The sample consisted of 180 medical technologists working in Chiang Mai and Lamphun Province. The research instruments were a personal data sheet, a positive orientation scale, a work engagement scale and a career satisfaction scale. Descriptive statistics were used to describe demographic data and research variables. Hypothese testing were performed by using Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Analysis and Hierarchical Multiple Regression Analysis. The research found that: 1. Most of the sample had high levels of positive orientation, work engagement and career satisfaction. 2. Positive orientation was significant positively related to work engagement (p < .01). 3. Positive orientation was significant positively related to career satisfaction (p < .01). 4. Positive orientation significantly predicted work engagement (p < .001) and also significantly predicted career satisfaction (p < .001).
