Abstract: This study aimed at analyzing the knowledge management of the quality of life development project (Wandering Dhamma) in Saraphi District, Chiang Mai Province, and the roles of local administration, institutes, and organizations related to the project. In addition, it aimed at studying the participation of peoplein any activities according to the quality of life development project (Wandering Dhamma) for the case study in Yang Noeng Sub-district, Saraphi District, Chiang Mai Province. The study aimed to study and interviewmonks, novices, mayors, leaders (sub-district headmen and village headmen), and people who attended in the project as a target group. Therefore, there were 20 people including 4 monks, a mayor of Yang Noeng sub-district, 3 leaders, and 12 people who participated in the project. Furthermore, this was a qualitative research.Tools of the study were related concepts, theories, literatures, local context studying, and observation. In addition, questionnaires were used as guidelines for interviewing target group. Results from the study found that the knowledge management of the quality of life development project (Wandering Dhamma) in Saraphi District, Chiang Mai Province can be organized and continuously operated because knowledge management of monks, related organizations, roles of leaders, participation of people, and people’ lifestyles support activities which were based from the past, belief, and faith. Moreover, the operation corresponded with the national economic and social development plan issue number 1, and development strategy on province, district, ministry, and related organizations. In addition, progressive visions of monkswho had ability to spread knowledge in appropriate ways according to environment, social condition, and economy that were changed. The target group was also clear that budget, equipments, and resources were supported by the integretion of many sections which were Saraphi monks, local administration, council of cultural affairs, leaders, and other organizations. The operation associated with many groups includes village, sub-district, and district. Moreover, the important thing was activities to promote strenght help building harmony and love among people.Furthermore, key success factors were the public relation and every kind of communication that help sustain quality of life development project (Wandering Dhamma) in Saraphi District, Chiang Mai Province. It also affected the ongoing project operation. Suggestions from this study were (1) cultivate feeling of ownership for people as they were parts of their ways of lives, theyshould also hold on and perpetually practice it as traditions. (2) develop knowledge management system of the project to be local learning resources along with develop it to be one of the fields in community educational system (3) transfer knowledge from generation to generation, develop new generation to take part in and responsible for activities, and continuously carry on purposes of the project.
