Abstract: In the present, cargo business, particularly, land cargo transportation is the main choice for transferring goods from manufacturer to customer or even consignment between persons. There is an unavoidable problem in running business that is; damaged goods during shipping. In the case study of the company, they have managed these damaged goods by storing and preceding the procedure. This research was to study the problem and the cause of the management. It found that the process of goods placement was in disorder, the process of working was unclear and goods were classified vaguely. Those factors impacted to a long time taking in searching goods. Therefore, the researcher had presented the way to improve the process of working in damaged cargo terminal. Not only to develop the management of damaged goods system to achieve Key Performance Indicator, KPI, but to shorten the time of finding goods in warehouse also. The guiding principles were brought to reduce waste and to improve the working process which would be able to minimize distance and time in the process from 1650 maters of distance and 945 minutes of time to 700 maters of distance and 519 minutes of time. Moreover, the theory of ABC analysis and the principle of plant layout were used to allocate space including visual control. The result of improvement could help storage goods orderly and capable to reduce time of searching goods, from 77.4 minutes to 45.3 minutes. This study was able to increase the efficiency of the performance and applied the implementation planing of this research to set the standard for working in the future.
