Abstract: This study aimed to 1) to study the personal, economic, social, and some mango production conditions of mango farmers in Bang Khla district, Chachoengsao province 2) to analyzed the factors affecting farmers’ adoption of good agricultural practices for mango in Bang Khla district, Chachoengsao province and 3) to study the problems, needs, and suggestions of farmers about affecting farmers’ adoption of good agricultural practices for mango in Bang Khla district, Chachoengsao province. The target population for the study was the 1,472 farmers who received training on GAP in Bang Khla district, Chachoengsao province in 2022. The sample size was determined using Taro Yamane's formula with acceptable sampling error to 7 percent (93% confidence level) resulting in a sample size of 180 farmers. Simple random sampling was used to select the sample, with lottery numbers drawn from a list of farmers' names. The data was collected through semi-structured interview that had 0.72 of knowledge point coefficient (KR – 20) and 0.71 of practical point coefficient (KR – 20). Data were collected from December 2023 to February 2024. The data were analyzed using the statistical package program about social science research. Descriptive statistics namely percentage, frequency, mean, maximum, minimum, and standard deviation. Multiple regression analysis by using the Enter method to identify the relationship between independent variables and dependent variables was used for inferential statistics. The results showed that most of the farmers were male with an average age of 56.11 years in the 6th grade of education, had an average of 21.54 years of experience in mango production, mostly their own land and self – financing. In 2022, Most farmers had receiving information about GAP, with an average of 3.70 contact with agricultural extension officer of Bang Khla district agricultural office and most had received training in mango production. an average of 3.42 number of household members producing mangoes, an average of 23.17 rai of area for mango production. In 2022, farmers had an average income from mango sales of 199,458.30 baht, an average costs of mango production of 120,482.77 baht and most farmers had a definite market availability for mango produce. Overall, farmers had a high level of knowledge and practice of GAP. The hypothesis test that found that education level, receiving information about GAP, and contact with agricultural officer significantly farmers’ adoption of GAP in Bang Khla district, Chachoengsao province at the 0.05 level. Problems of farmers about adoption of good agricultural practices for mango: the most is low prices, followed by pests, diseases, lack of water sources, and soil conditions for planting, respectively. Needs of farmers about adoption of good agricultural practices for mango: the most is price guarantees, followed by promotion of mango processing, contribution about fertilizer, contribution about soil, contribution about marketing, and adequate irrigation systems management, respectively. Suggestions from farmers about adoption good agricultural practices for mango: the most is government training about pesticides, followed by harvesting and post – harvest practices, and record keeping and traceability, respectively.
