Abstract: This thesis aimed to 1) create the Living with the Dam: Local Curriculum using a community-Based approach and 2) promote community participation in the development of the Living with the Dam: Local Curriculum, through Participatory Action Research (PAR) and conducted fieldwork to understand the context and lifestyle of the community in Kor Subdistrict. Data collection tools included field notes, community survey records in Kor Subdistrict. The study area comprised Kor Subdistrict and BanKorjudsan School. Focus group discussions were held with members of the primary school committee at BanKorjudsan School, teachers of grades 4-6, and individuals with experience and knowledge about the Kor Subdistrict community. Using focus group records and meeting notes, it was found that the participants agreed on the necessity of a local curriculum. The curriculum was developed collaboratively by the villagers of Kor Subdistrict to align with the concepts and principles they deemed essential for the survival and sustainability of their local members. Consisting of Living with the Dam: Local Curriculum, Grade 4, 3 learning units. Grade 5, 2 learning units and Grade 6, 2 learning units. This thesis promoting community participation in the development of Living with the Dam: Local Curriculum, BanKorjudsan School provided opportunities for the community to engage in various school activities. The researcher fostered relationships between the school and the community through dialogue facilitated by meetings of the Basic Education Committee, ensuring mutual understanding and smooth cooperation. The collaboration between BanKorjudsan School and the Kor Subdistrict community led to successful cooperation in creating the Living with the Dam: Local Curriculum. All parties, including community members, the school committee, the school director, teachers, and students, contributed their ideas to the design of the learning process, culminating in the successful creation of this local curriculum.
