Abstract: Objective: To investigate the impact of chitosan oligosaccharide solution (COS) on the antifungal efficacy against C. albicans and the color stability of heat-cured PMMA Material and method: Heat-cured PMMA specimens with biofilm were subjected to immersion in distilled water (DW), 0.2% Chlorhexidine gluconate (CHX), and COS 0.5 MFC, 1 MFC, and 1.5 MFC. The fungal colonies were counted following immersion periods of 1 and 8 hours. The most effective method was selected for color stability test using a colorimeter. The color was measured at day 0 and after 1, 7, 14, 21 and 28 days of immersion. Results: According to two-way ANOVA (p < 0.05), after 8 hours of immersion, COS provided higher level of inhibition than DW but lower than CHX. There was no significant differences across various concentrations. Furthermore, the color stability test revealed that after 28 days of immersion, the color of all the specimens changed significantly within clinical limits and the specimens of CHX group demonstrated highest discoloration. Conclusion: Immersing dentures in COS 350 mg/ml for 8 hours effectively reduces the viability of C. albicans while maintaining the color stability of heat-cured PMMA
