Abstract: This research titled “Employer’s decision to hire migrant workers: a perspectives of construction business entrepreneurs in Chiang Mai province” aimed to identify factors influencing the employers’ decision to employ migrant workers: the perspective of construction business operators in Chiang Mai Province. Data were collected from a sample of 371 construction business operators in Chiang Mai Province. A questionnaire was used as the research instrument for data collection. Data were analyzed using statistics including descriptive statistics, comprising frequencies, percentages, and means. The results indicated that the most important factor influencing the employers’ decision to employ migrant workers was business cost reduction, followed by Society and Demography, Law and Policies, Continuity of work and Labor Characteristics, respectively.
