Abstract: The purposes of this research were1)to study the conditions and problems of language teaching to promote reading skills for Thai understanding of Chinese students in Yunnan College of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Languages 2) to study reading skills for Thai understanding of Chinese students in Yunnan College of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Languages 3) to study language teaching guidelines to promote reading skills for language understanding for instructors in Yunnan College of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Languages. 7 Thai language subjects in Yunnan College of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Languages, 2nd semester, 2021, 2 Chinese students who studied in Yunnan College of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Languages, 1st year, semester 2, 2021 Research instruments includ questionnaires and discussion points, data analysis groups using statistics: frequency, percentage, average value and standard deviation. The results of this research found: 1. Overall opinions on language teaching to promote reading skills for Thai understanding of Chinese students, opinions on curriculum Cognitive skills in reading methods for understanding teaching style. The measurement and evaluation is very high and overall opinions on the problematic conditions of students studying Thai in the course. Teachers in language skills, reading methods for understanding teaching style. Measurement and evaluation is very high. 2. Students have reading skills to understand Thai language in reading skills for evaluate value. reading skills for Critical, reading skills for comprehension, reading skills for summary, reading skills for entertainment, reading skills for translational, reading skills for interpretation, reading skills for analytical, respectively. 3. Language teaching guidelines to promote reading skills for Thai understanding of Chinese students in Yunnan College of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Languages It should be taken into account the needs and interests of the learner as a priority. Language teaching and teaching activities should be in line with the goals and requirements of promoting reading for the understanding of Thai language of the learner.
