Abstract: The objective of this research was to study the working context of designing a community of practitioners for Chiang Mai University dormitory offices and to design a prototype of the learning process among members of the community of practitioners. From a sample study by volunteers from the Chiang Mai University Student Dormitory Office From the research study, it was found that communities of practice are tools for knowledge management within an organization that could be utilized to suit the work context in organizations that work with a characteristic of interdependence or work that requires the collaboration of various departments. To achieve the goals and duties received and solve problems during work. The research aims to raise the knowledge base in the organization through a community of practice. Design the learning process for interested and open-minded members who come and exchange experiences, skills, and expertise through the process of knowledge sharing towards creating a knowledge base that can be used in actual work. This leads to the objective of exchanging knowledge in the organization, which results in responses to solve various problems and develop work processes, as well as being able to reduce costs, reduce errors, and reduce the time spent on various procedures in the organization.
