Abstract: | The purpose of this research was 1) To study, research, and analyze the digital storytelling learning management theory of Jason Ohler 2) To create digital storytelling learning management lesson plans that would promote secondary school pupils to speak English fluently and effectively with intercultural communicative competence (ICC) 3) To evaluate digital storytelling (DST) learning management lesson plans that promote students in secondary schools to improve their English-speaking abilities and ICC. Six lesson plans were designed for the target group of students in Grade 8 aligned with the theoretical frameworks of DST learning management approach to enhance their English speaking abilities. The participants of this study include (1) Three distinguished assessors who are English lecturers with experience teaching pupils and adults evaluating the validity of the innovation and six lesson plans (2) Five expert assessors comprising two heads of the English language department, and three English instructors with extensive experience instructing both primary and secondary students. Eight sets of assessment forms were used in this study, and the data were presented in a table format with an analysis using means and standard deviation. The results have demonstrated that the six lesson plans are suitable for us as it follows DST principles, the learning objectives, as well as the standards and indicators. The name of each learning plan was Everyday Routine and Travels, Telling Directions, Finance, Culture Corner, Health and Time, and Fun with Food. |
