Abstract

Emergency Medical Service (EMS) plays a significant role in reducing death and injury. The EMS can save lives with a fast response time to reach cases and sufficient service stations. This study aims to efficiently locate emergency medical service stations in Tak province by using the Maximal Covering Location Model (MCLP). The number of accidents and the response time of the EMS to reach incident sites are used. The results show decreasing in the number of locations with more range of coverage. In addition, 25 stations of Basic Life Support unit (BLS) and First Responder unit(FR) are proposed to cooperate with 12 hospitals. The proposed method (37 stations in total) shows 96.50% of total accident are covered compared to normal situation (55 stations) which can cover only 91.03% of total accident. This result shows better efficiency by decreasing the number of station.
