Reactions of [Au2(dppe)(D-Hpen)2] (dppe = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino) ethane, D-H2pen = D-penicillamine) with M(NO3)3 (M = GaIII, InIII) afforded charge-separation-type ionic solids, [Au4M2(dppe)2(D-pen)4](NO3)2, in which each M center is surrounded by two D-pen ligands to form an N2O2S2 octahedral geometry. The ionic solids exhibited blue emission originating from the LLCT excited state in the solid state.en_US
