dc.description.abstract | In Thailand, the Provincial Industry Office is the satellite government agency responsible for industrial promotion toward Industry 4.0 and regulation. There are together 77 offices, in Thailand 76 provinces and the capital Bangkok. The paper introduces the development and expected result of the developed assessment models, aiming to understand the nature of the offices’ personnel and the responsible area. The proposed models are (1) the personnel assessment model which is self-assessed and based on 21 skill sets and 10 characteristics, and (2) the area assessment model, comprising 19 items of interest. Before the full data collection of 77 offices in Thailand, the testing data was collected, and a variety of tools can be used to analyze the data. The paper shows some examples of the possible data interpretation which is policy-wise indicative. Confidently, the information will be suggestive for the decision-maker in the Thai government to drive the Industrial Provincial Office in a decisive and satisfactory direction. | en_US |
