Abstract: Sexual harassment can happen anytime and anywhere. Educational institutions should have regulations that can be enforced so that everyone in the university can live together safely. Thus, this study was undertaken to explore what the laws of sexual harassment are. Does Chiang Mai University have regulations to deal with sexual harassment? And if so, what are the measures to punish the offenders? From my study, the relevant regulations include Chiang Mai University Notification on Personnel Management B.E. 2553 and Chiang Mai University Notification Concerning Discipline and Student Disciplining B.E. 2564. When an offense is committed, the interpretation and discretion of the notifications under university authority are unclear. Therefore, I propose creating a properly defined explanation of what sexual harassment it in the notifications. Having a clear definition will reduce the necessity of discretion by the Committee and help everyone to be aware of their rights and duties for prevention of the violation. This will help reduce sexual harassment in university, especially sexual harassment resulting from patriarchal values.
