Abstract: | An independent study on the preservation of the Yantra tattoo culture of Wat Bang Phra Temple, Nakhon Chaisri District. Nakhon Pathom Province The objectives were 1) to study the context of human tattooing culture in general both internationally and in Thailand; 2) to study the social and cultural context of the Bang Phra Temple community. as well as the Yantra tattoo culture of Wat Bang Phra Nakhon Chai Si District Nakhon Pathom Province and 3) to propose guidelines for preserving the Yantra tattoo culture of Wat Bang Phra Temple. Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom Province By using a qualitative research model with a method of researching data from various research papers related to the evolution of tattooing in Thailand. together with the questionnaire from the monks, the tattoo artist and the interview with the people who have received the tattoo from Bang Phra Temple. which analyzes the data by analyzing the content (Content analysis) from the data storage area and present the research results in a descriptive and interpreted manner according to research objectives. The results of the study found that 1) Yant tattooing from the past to the present is still a culture that has always been linked to Buddhism. Born from the ancient Khmer language and the Pali Buddhist scriptures. and the characteristics of the talisman tattooing ritual by reciting a spell from a monk inherited to a lay tattoo artist that appears today Combined with faith in Buddhist monks who have tattooed talisman, it has a great influence on the decision to get a tattoo. 2) Yantra tattoo culture of Wat Bang Phra. Nakhon Chai Si District Nakhon Pathom Province It is famous for the talisman tattoo from Luang Pu Him. and pass it on to Luang Phor Pen Make people believe in the merit of the ช talisman that you invented. Therefore, it is popular to come to Wat Bang Phra. And here there is a uniqueness that the tattoo recipient can't choose the talisman pattern. It has to be assigned by Phra Ajarn. But nowadays the belief in this ritual has gradually faded away according to modern trends and 3) guidelines for preserving the culture of tattooing at Bang Phra Temple. It is necessary to collect the right information and to create awareness among the community about the value of tattoo culture with unique tattoo rituals.
