Abstract: Batteries are one of the essential power sources of energy. Most of the batteries used today are lithium batteries because lithium batteries have a high energy storage value and long service life. But there are still disadvantages in toxicity, making it difficult to dispose or recycle lithium batteries. Therefore, sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) have been developed in high-efficiency electrochemical energy storage devices and rechargeable electric vehicles to replace lithium batteries with limited lithium content. In addition, sodium batteries can use readily available sodium, have a large amount, and have low production costs. For battery applications, sodium ion Na+ provides an efficient moving charge carrier, stable structure, and stable open structured phosphate electrode, which gave a voltage value of 3.4 V in this study. Therefore, the Na(Fe1-xAlx)PO4 was synthesized by a solid-state reaction process using calcination under argon atmosphere at 650, 675, 700, 725, 750, 775, and 800 degrees Celsius to form the desired phase. The samples were analyzed through a phase formation analysis process using X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA), and the morphology was also characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). This experimental study will guide the future development of sodium acid ion batteries.
